The painting is inspired by the current global scientific trends into genetics and stem cell research where new means of medical treatments are being discovered to help humanity.

The human genome narrative in itself to evolution of life on Earth from the onset of time of the planet and significantly where all life came from the sea. To how this has been captured in ancient scriptures and philosophies and the human creature in their sentience have tried ti understand their place within the greater meaning of the world. Yet, what is about us from the inaugural of the planet is in itself a tale told in our gene code.

The creature in the portrayal embodies the mythical of the mermaid to encapsulate in a genomic sea she resides. Her single eyes is not to the eyes that see, but inner and more profound understanding to her metaphysical to all within and about. The title reflects her as the 'Stem Cell Evolutionary Aeon' with reference to archaic knowledge combined and current terms of scientific research.

It is a prelude before the series currently being developed and the next to the lead to the 'Dawn before the Dragon'. It is placed as subtext, as one is as integral to the first and last in the sequence of paintings themselves to evolve and be presented.
