(Abstract Portrait Series)
The collection of "Lost Innocence" is a series of abstract portraits of children past and present who are either missing or children to have suffered a crime against them. It is to remember the names of the children and in respect of their families and friends of the child and indeed the child themselves. No child is a statistic and each life matters. The art is to remember the names and in honour of their memories and families and to embody in art as a celebration of the child's life. As an Artist, woman and human even though I do not have children myself I have always believed sincerely it is a moral obligation of all in society to protect the innocent, the vulnerable and if not more so all children. My heart goes out to any that has lost a child or children hurt.
