Provenance and description: The Blue Muse conceptual and abstract depictions are to an on-going series since 1980s by the Artist, Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney.

Progressively over the decades she has at times done several in different poses. The first time she created this form was at 13 years old and over the duration of her life has presented variations. To the Artist, the female is her, and to sense of self always in blue and surrounded in red.

In 2011, the Artist had attend the Opera 'Tosca' by Puccini and she presented to the Royal Opera House in London these two depictions to her evolving Blue Muses.
