Provenance and description: Evelyn Thompson, a woman whom lived in Lewisham, London, and a diverse life in her latter years to care attentively for her husband for many years until he eventually passed away. A high spirited and kind hearted woman whose generosity and sympathetic demeanour always for her family, friends, neighbours and even the local cats. The Cat painting was produced due her affection for the feline creatures.
