Provenance and description: Evelyn Thompson, a woman whom lived in Lewisham, London, and a diverse life and in latter stages to care attentively for her long term ill husband for many years until he eventually passed away. A high spirited and kind hearted woman whose generosity and sympathetic demeanour always for her family, friends, neighbours and even the local cats. Cherub was painted to convey her own gentle character.
